Performing Englishness in Kagawa
The difficulty in trying to blog while travelling is that things
happen at an incredible pace. By the time I get back to my hotel room at the
end of a long, exhilarating day, I’m usually too exhausted and over-stimulated
to face writing and editing a post. The last couple of days, however, have been
so full-packed that the task feels even more daunting than usual! I was treated
to such an awe-inspiring two-day tour of Kagawa, by Angela Fukutome of Sanuki
Morris that I feel sure I cannot possibly do it justice!
Instead, here is a visual
diary of the places we visited as told through the medium of morris dancing! Many thanks to Angela for being the most excellent guide and for taking all the photographs.
